LRA network & software

The data-reduction and data-processing system HCSS developped by the Herschel consortium is available for use in our laboratory.

The laboratory provides a FTP server, available at address ftp.lra.ens.fr

This server supports standard users mode (Unix accounts) and anonymous login mode. This latter mode allows data transfers in both directions.

Gildas is installed on the network in the directory /usr/import/gildas which can be accessed by all the LRA's PCs. This directory is a mount point for different disks: one contains 32 bits versions of Gildas, another contains 64 bits versions. According to your processor, this directory will point to the right version.
